Coffee Talk

I loved Tuesday morning/afternoon. I was deciding between Target and the gym when my phone rang at 9am. It was Tracy and she invited me and the kiddies over for a caffeine fix. I packed up the kids and we were on our way. Super bonus was that Tracy's nephew Dominick was over for the morning also. So as we arrived the kids checked each other out and then quickly became the best of friends. They played and talked and read books until well into the afternoon. I got to spend some nice time with my favorite baby, Baby Mia, who was looking as beautiful as ever. She is sitting up on her own now and if you are lucky, she will flash you this smile that will make your whole day. I know I have mentioned before that my Denny has a little obsession with Mia. He stares at her like there is no one else in the room. He has a crush. But the best part of yesterday was that Mia was checking him out too. And wouldn't you know it, my camera was at home. I've been kicking myself in the butt all day today b/c these two cuties were making eyes at each other. Me and Tray were cracking up and I really wish I could share it with you all.
So obviously I skipped the gym and Target. I'm fat and have no tp or photo paper, but I had a great morning with my greatest friend, with children running around and good vibes everywhere.
Other than that, let me share my book of the week with you. I am about half way through Devil Wears Prada and I can't put it down. It is so fun to read. I loved, loved, loved the movie. And this may be this first time I've done movie then book. So far so good. I'll let you know when I'm done next week.
Also, X's & O's to Deb and Joe (aka GMA Debbie and Papa Joe) who are on their way to Arizona for a nice, much needed, well deserved vacation. Have fun, take lots of pics, and we'll miss you!
So that's my warm and fuzzy post. Let me tell you how today started off. I got up to get a glass of water and tripped over G, who was sleeping on the floor at the foot of our bed. I almost crushed her and nearly sprained my ankle. She got up and took me to her room where her sheets were soaking wet. I threw everything in the washer and went to get D. I take one look at him and nearly faint from the smell and the sight. My boy was covered in poop. All over his hands, back, arms, you name it. I start a bath and throw him in, only to realize the water is cold. Bob just finished his shower and the washer is running. So poor D is shaking as his stinky ass lays in a cold bath. I was quick as I could be and everyone survived. All this action before 8am...I love my job :)

It sounds like a CRAZY morning. That basically sucks, but you sound like you put a positive spin on the morning. It can only get better now right? When is Heavy D's birthday, he will be 2 right?

We have a tough job being moms, don't we? Gotta find humor in it. LOL.

I love how we talk about other people's poop now. Isn't it funny?! Never thought I ever would before being a mamma. I LOVED The Devil Wears Prada. I read it before I saw the movie, and I couldn't put it down either. Check out her other book, "Everyone Worth Knowing." It's pretty good too. Hope you are having a good week and hears to no more diaper blow-outs first thing in the AM.
