Dropping the Y

For the past couple of weeks, Bob and I have gone from Mommy & Daddy, to Mom & Dad. What is up with that? I'm still getting used to Grace calling us Mommy and Daddy, and it still melts my heart every time I hear those words coming from her. Don't we get at least another 10 years with that sweetness? Mom & Dad sounds so, I don't know, mature? She's 2 1/2, not 15. Regardless, it is quite humorous when she does it. And we have our little man who is constantly spouting off Mommy & Daddy now, so hopefully he won't drop the Y too soon.

Happy August 1st. Today is a hot one, almost 100 degrees hot. I dragged the kids out this morning so I could go to the gym, and even then Grace kept saying it was too hot. I agree, and plan on spending the rest of the day in the AC.

I love going to the theater, seeing plays is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening. Bob is a trooper, and says he doesn't mind going with me. So I was super excited yesterday when I got front row seats to see Steinbeck's "Of Mice & Men." That is one of my all time favorite books, so to see the play is a real treat.

It is flippin hot here too over 100 with the humidity. We are at my moms now in the pool chilling off. I love plays too and Ro is just like Bob, doesn't really like to go, but will because he knows I love it. We went to see Mama Mia in Toronto, it was awesome. If you ever get the chance go and see it!!!
