Me & D in search of the perfect berry
Sunday we were outside all day. Doing yardwork and having fun in the sun. The all day outside activities must have worn the kids out, because they were both in bed by 7:30 on Sunday night. Since Bob had Monday off, we decided to buy some good beer and scratch off lotto tickets. Just the 2 of us hung out for a couple of hours, then we had some friends stop by. We hung out until midnight, wished a happy birthday to Bob, then hit the hay.
Grace & the birthday boy picking away
Monday was by far the perfect day. Me and the kids went out and got Bob breakfast before he woke up. Then we opened presents and my mom stopped by. After that, we went and picked raspberries. Grace was really into it, and she must have eaten 50 berries by the time we were done picking. Denny just loved running around the fields, surprisingly he didn't eat any of the berries. After that, we went and picked out pumpkins. We let each kid pick their own, then Bob and I got one to share. Once we got back home, we took a family nap until about 4. Then we set up shop outside and carved our pumpkins. Picking raspberries sounds like a blast. I've picked blueberries and strawberries, but never raspberries. Sounds like you had as good of a weekend as we did! Family time is the best!
