Princess For A Moment

The weekend was too cold to do anything outdoors with the kids. So we went to Southpark mall instead. I found a dress for the gala and the best part of it all was how much it cost. The original price was $100, and it was marked down to 40. Plus, I had a $10 off coupon, so I bought a new dress for $30! Damn, I love a good deal.
It's black with white polka dots. No, seriously. I have a thing for polka dots. I find them simply charming. Here it is. What do you think?

This flower has to go. Too cheesy for me. I need to find a way to remove it.

It was so fun trying on dresses with Grace. Bob and Denny went off on their own for awhile and Grace and I grabbed tons of dresses. Then we went into the dressing room, and Grace said I was a princess. Melt my hard. I spun around for her so the dresses would twirl. She loved it. I twirled one too many times though, b/c by the time I walked out of there, I thought I was going to hurl. But it was worth it. My princess thought I was a princess for a few moments.

Saturday night I went over Tracy's for a couple of hours. Her cousin Krissy and fiance Kenny were in town from NYC so I went over to visit. We had some wine and browsed a US Weekly, deciding who's hot and who's not. When I came home Bob and I were planning on watching "Little Miss Sunshine," but the wine made me sleepy and I knew I wouldn't make it through an entire movie.
Today was reserved for football. I'm bummed that the Saints lost to Chicago. I was really hoping they would make it into the Super Bowl. Now we are watching the Colts/Pats game, cheering on the Colts.

Girl you have been busy! I love how your space has evolved and admit I am totally jealous. The dress is fantastic, classic with a twist. You will be the bell of the ball (usually are anyway).

Hillary might not have a chance, but she's making some serious headway for our girls. Cheers Hills, we love you in the Hannon house!

It is a nice dress, I'm sure you'll look great in it. I love it when I go shopping with my daughter too (who's 5). Thanks for your comment on my blog by the way, it was nice to see you there.

Cute dress! I'd say use a seam ripper or a small pair of nail clippers to take the flower off - I agree, I'm not a big flower fan.

We're both blogger chicks/blogging chicks, BTW...and you will not regret "Little Miss Sunshine". I watched it last night, and laughed myself silly (not that it was a difficult task, mind you...)

Have a great week, and come visit anytime!

Great dress!! I have to say I am jealous. I never have a reason to be girly and in a pretty dress and fancy shoes. I wish Tom's work did something like that! Thanks for the Bday wishes. Have a great week and enjoy the snow. Do you still wear your sandles in the snow? :)
