SPIDERMAN

Sunday was a super, spidery special day for D. He got to meet his favorite superhero, Spiderman. We arrived at Macy's shortly after 11, and to our surprise, there wasn't an obnoxiously long line to meet S-man. Denny got on Bob's shoulders and upon his first glimpse of Spidy, he was in awe. My words are a dime a dozen, but these pictures are, well, priceless to this mama. Waiting

First Sight

The meeting

The smile

Now you may wonder how Grace reacted to this. Let's just say she was less than thrilled. She hid behind me and said she wasn't going to talk to Spiderman and all she wanted to know was when we were going to see the Princesses.
The rest of our day was spent outside. The kids playing while I read my book and Bob did yard work. Saturday was much of the same, lots of outside time. The kids playing, Bob working and me just watching everyone. Saturday night my Mom came over so we could go out for a few hours. We went to a new Irish bar called Ofeenies. We met up with my SIL Becky and Pete and a bunch of their friends came out to celebrate Pete's 27th b/day. It was tons of fun but I am paying for it today. It's 8pm and I am still paying for it. When am I going to learn that I can't party like I used to?
This week my plans include the gym EVERYDAY, final prep for D's b/day bash, MUMS group Thursday (thank GOD, I need some inspiration), a Zoo trip and who knows what else.

That is so priceless! The smile says it all. I hear about not being able to party like ya used to, especially when you have to take care of other people. Those tend to be movie days, while mommy naps on the couch. I can hear it now, "Yes, My name is Maggie and my mother used to pass out on the couch after a night of drinking. I contribute this to all of my problems."

hey mama-

loved the pictures of D.

please tell me, though...how are you able to read a book when the kiddies are playing outside? do you have a fence? we don't have a fence and i'm constantly running after joey, who tries to run into the street.

needless to say, we're getting a fence this weekend.

xx!
